J'ai finalement pris mon courage à deux mains et j'ai migré pwet.fr de la version 4.0.1 à la version 4.2.0 d'eZ Publish sortie il y a quelques jours avec plein d'améliorations. Au niveau de la migration d'eZ Publish, rien de bien compliqué surtout que pour une fois, la documentation de mise à jour sort en même temps que le produit.
Mon principal soucis était au niveau de mon extension ezvideoflv incompatible avec la version 4.2 (et 4.1) en raison des modifications apportées dans la version 4.1 au niveau des binary file handlers. J'ai donc sorti la version 0.3 de eZVideoFLV compatible avec eZ Publish 4.1 et supérieur. Au passage, merci encore à Sébastien Morel pour son aide.

Today, I have learned that my eZ Publish extension Video FLV Datatype is now used in a real site : Zenaba. It's a french community and shopping site dedicated to women. Video FLV Datatype is used to provide FLV conversion so that user's videos can be viewed by anyone having the flash plugin installed. I'm very happy to see that even I don't need to braid my hair :-)
In addition, thanks to my interview in the first issue of Share magazine, Bruce Morrison has reported some problems. He also proposed interesting ideas in the project's forum. So, he's now a member of the team.

Today, I released the second version of eZVideoFLV Datatype extension. This is the first version compatible with eZ Publish 4 and PHP5. I would like to thank Kåre Køhler Høvik from eZ Systems who initiated the portage to PHP5. This version also brings some small bugfixes and a better debug output to the cronjob script. Information about this extension can be found on the project page and in the announce of the first version. Bug report and comments are welcome.

Yesterday, I released the first version of eZVideoFLV, a new extension providing a datatype to store, handle and convert to FLV video files. It's based on the default ezmedia datatype. It mainly adds three features :
- generate an image preview for each video file using ffmpeg-php and GD
- detect and store video size width ffmpeg-php too
- convert video file to FLV on upload or with a cronjob script in order to be readable with a flash FLV player (like on Youtube or Dailymotion) using ffmpeg program
The extension is bundled with FLV Player which is released under the MPL 1.1 license. The rest of the extension is released under the GNU GPL licence 2. All information (requirements, installation, screenshots,...) can be found in the project page on projects.ez.no and I put an example on this site.
