cmml-fortune [-d timespec | --duration timespec ] [-e encoding | --encoding encoding ] [-o filename | --output filename ] [-s command | --short-command command ] [-l command | --long-command command ] [-h | --help ] [-v | --version ]
Description
cmml-fortune generates a random CMML document using an external program to provide text for the document title, anchors and clip descriptions. The default behavior of cmml-fortune is to use fortune for this purpose.
Options
cmml-fortune accepts the following options:
- -d timespec, --duration timespec
- Specify the duration of the generated CMML document as a standard timespec, eg. "00:10", "smpte:00:01:30.3"
- -e encoding, --encoding encoding
- Specify an alternate encoding for the generated CMML document.
- -o filename, --output filename
- Write the generated CMML document to the specified filename instead of printing it to standard output.
- -s short-command, --short-command command
- Specify an alternate command to use to generate short text. This is used to generate the document title, and also to generate the anchor text of each clip.
- -l long-command, --long-command command
- Specify an alternate command to use to generate long text. This is used to generate the descriptions for each clip.
- -h, --help
- Display usage information and exit.
- -v, --verbose
- Display version information and exit.
VERSION
This man page is correct for CMML version 2.1 and libcmml version 0.9.1.
