This is an experimental driver. Not all features may work correctly.
SUPPORTED HARDWARE
hidups is an experiment to bring USB UPS monitoring to NUT on Linux. It should detect any UPS that uses the HID power device class, but the amount of data it currently reads is limited. This is due to the interface to the kernel. Better interfaces are planned.

BUGS
The status field has been known to blank out after selftests on APC hardware.
Most of the status registers on betterdocumented equipment are not yet available due to interface limitations.
This driver is tied to the Linux hiddev interface, and probably isn't very portable as a result.
