man laptop-netconf (Administration système) - network detection and configuration program
NAME
laptop-netconf - network detection and configuration program
SYNOPSIS
laptop-netconf
DESCRIPTION
laptop-netconf reads the list of hosts to probe from its configuration file, /etc/laptop-netconf/opts. Multiple arp requests are sent out onto the local network. if any replies matching those in the configuration are received, a configuration script (also in /etc/laptop-netconf/) is run. If no known networks are detected, a default configuration script is run.
laptop-netconf will not run at all unless the line "ACTIVE=yes" appears within /etc/default/laptop-netconf
NOTE
laptop-netconf is still under development. If you have any ideas for features that wish added, please contact the author, Matt Kern <matt@debian.org>. This program was originally inspired by divine. divine was written by Felix von Leitner <felix@fefe.de>.
