pdns_recursor - The PowerDNS recursor

SYNOPSIS

pdns_recursor [options]

DESCRIPTION

This manual page is describes how to use the pdns_recursor command.

pdns_recursor is a program that does name server queries on the net and retrieves info about other domains.

OPTIONS

A summary of options is included below. For a complete description, see the Info files.

--help


Show summary of options.
--aaaa-additional-processing=[yes|no]


Turn on to do AAAA additional processing (slow)
--config-dir=...


Location of configuration directory (recursor.conf)
--daemon=[yes|no]


Operate as a daemon
--delegation-only=...


Which domains we only accept delegations from
--local-address=...


address to listen on
--local-port=...


port to listen on
--quiet=[yes|no]


Suppress logging of questions and answers
--soa-minimum-ttl=...


Minimum Time To Live for a sOARecord. It's not recommended and supported to change this setting.

The offset for the serial in a sOARecord. It's not recommended and supported to change this setting.
