man sdm-login (Administration système) - prompts a user for login
NAME
sdm-login - prompts a user for login
SYNOPSIS
sdm-login
DESCRIPTION
presents the user with a login screen, using Xdialog(1), similar to the xdm(1) login prompt. instead of using the XDMCP protocol, sdm-login uses ssh(1) X11 Forwarding to encrypt the entire ssh session.
configuration options are defined in /etc/sdm/sdm.config and /etc/sdm/sdm.config.$hostname
if autologin is set to yes, the login prompt will not be displayed, and sdm-login will attempt to log in as the same user as the hostname of the system, unless the user variable is defined in one of the configuration files.
FILES
/etc/sdm/sdm.config /etc/sdm/sdm.config.$hostname
BUGS
does not respond properly to kill signals.
