The Yard system consists of three scripts, which are designed to be run in series:

make_root_fs: Creates the root filesystem based on Bootdisk_contents.
check_root_fs: Checks the root filesystem for errors and omissions.
write_rescue_disk: Writes the kernel and the root filesystem to (one or two) floppy diskettes.
