aish - ish/base64/uuencoded_file converter

SYNOPSIS

(Decorde) aish [option] files...

(Encorde) aish(aishmv) <encode_mode> [option] files...

(List) aish -l[option] files...

DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the aish and aishmv commands. aishmv is encorder for multi-volume format. This manual page was written briefly in English for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page in English.

ENCORDER MODE

-s
Convert to ish shift-jis format.
-7
Convert to ish jis 7bit format.
-8
Convert to ish jis 8bit format.
-n
Convert to ish non-kana shift-jis format.
-u
Convert to UNIX uuencode.

OPTIONS

ENCORDER OPTIONS

-i
Don't output checksum and extra header in ish encording.
-a
Add output filename ".ish"(ish) or ".uue"(uuencode). In Default, the extension of the output filename is exchanged as ".ish" or ".uue".
-d
Changed the extension of output filename.
-t<num>
Specify the space of title line.
-O<num>
Specify OS code in ish header. Default value is "-O0".
-m<num>
Specify output lines per one file in multi-volume encoding.
-o<file>
Specify output filename.
-T<file>
In multi-volume encoding, Speciry temporary filename path.
-x<file>
Specify decorded filename.
-c
In uuencode mode, output checksum as extended format.

DECORDER OPTIONS

-p
Output except data area to STDOUT.
-A
Use filename as is in ish data, don't use filename exchange.
-U
Don't use header judgement in uuencode.
-f
Save another filename if the filename already exists. In this case, which filename are added .00 to .99 in the end of original filename.
-a
With -f option, the output filename are added .XX . This is by default.
-d
With -f option, the extension of output filename are exchanged as .XX .
-h
With -f option, output filenames are added XX in the head.
-o<file>
Specify output filename forcefully.
-x<file>
Pick up a part of the specified file. You can get a file you want from ish text including many objects.
-m
Cut MIME encorded parts from text, the others are output to STDOUT.

LIST OPTIONS

-A
Output not using filnename exchange.
-U
Don't output uuencode line.
