NAME
dbmcli - database manager command line interface for the MaxDB database system
DESCRIPTION
usage: dbmcli [<options>] [[-c] <DBMServer-Commands>]
OPTIONS
- -n server
- The name of the server the database is running on. Default is localhost if empty.
- -d database
- The name of the database to connect to.
- -u dbuser,dbuserpassword
- The database administrator (dbm) and his/her password that should be used for the connection. Be aware that there are no spaces allowed between the dbuser, the comma and the dbuserpassword.
- -U [userkey]
- default DBMUSR
- -uUTL [username,passwd]
- UTILITY session
- -uSQL [username,passwd]
- SQL session
- -uSRV
- (Service session)
- -R dbroot
- Set dbroot. Default is /usr/lib/maxdb/7.5.00.
- -i inputfile
- Default stdin
- -ic inputfile
- Default stdin
- -o outputfile
- Default stdout
- -t protocolfile
- Protocol file.
- -s
- Enables local with the dbmserver via shared memory. Cannot be used in combination with -n.
- -h
- Show summary of options.
- -V
- Show version of program and dbmserver.
- -c <DBMServer-Commands>
- Everything after the options will be sent to DBMServer. For more information about the DBMServer-Commands use the DBMServer-Command help.
