NAME

dbmcli - database manager command line interface for the MaxDB database system

DESCRIPTION

usage: dbmcli [<options>] [[-c] <DBMServer-Commands>]

OPTIONS

-n server
The name of the server the database is running on. Default is localhost if empty.
-d database
The name of the database to connect to.
-u dbuser,dbuserpassword
The database administrator (dbm) and his/her password that should be used for the connection. Be aware that there are no spaces allowed between the dbuser, the comma and the dbuserpassword.
-U [userkey]
default DBMUSR
-uUTL [username,passwd]
UTILITY session
-uSQL [username,passwd]
SQL session
-uSRV
(Service session)
-R dbroot
Set dbroot. Default is /usr/lib/maxdb/7.5.00.
-i inputfile
Default stdin
-ic inputfile
Default stdin
-o outputfile
Default stdout
-t protocolfile
Protocol file.
-s
Enables local with the dbmserver via shared memory. Cannot be used in combination with -n.
-h
Show summary of options.
-V
Show version of program and dbmserver.
-c <DBMServer-Commands>
Everything after the options will be sent to DBMServer. For more information about the DBMServer-Commands use the DBMServer-Command help.
