idswakeup source destination [ count ] [ TTL ]
DESCRIPTION
This manual page briefly documents the idswakeup command.
This manual page was written for the Debian GNU distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.
idswakeup is a tool to test network intrusion detection systems. It sends many common network attacks signatures, usually recognized by network intrusion detection systems, using hping2 and iwu , in order to make sure the detection procedure is operational.
OPTIONS
- source
- Source adress to use for generated IP packets during the test.
- destination
- IP adress of the NIDS to test.
- count
- Number of times to run the test.
- TTL
- Generated packets TTL.
