idswakeup - Network intrusion detection system "waker"

SYNOPSIS

idswakeup source destination [ count ] [ TTL ]

DESCRIPTION

This manual page briefly documents the idswakeup command.

This manual page was written for the Debian GNU distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

idswakeup is a tool to test network intrusion detection systems. It sends many common network attacks signatures, usually recognized by network intrusion detection systems, using hping2 and iwu , in order to make sure the detection procedure is operational.

OPTIONS

source
Source adress to use for generated IP packets during the test.
destination
IP adress of the NIDS to test.
count
Number of times to run the test.
TTL
Generated packets TTL.
