man ire-ed (Commandes) - IRE's word editor and tools
NAME
ire-ed, ire-chknpc, ire-crypter, ire-resize - IRE's word editor and tools
SYNOPSIS
ire-ed [options ]
ire-chknpc [no option ] {file1 ... }
ire-crypter [no option ]
ire-resize [no option ] {mapfile }
DESCRIPTION
ire-ed is the word editor for the role-playing-game engine ire.
ire-chknpc does a consistency check on books and conversation files. It is mainly useful to detect hyperlinks to pages that don't exist, and pages that have no hyperlinks.
ire-crypter can be use to create encrypted text. The cypher is a simple alphabet substitution to prevent casual users from seeing spoilers in the conversation.
ire-resize is used to change the size of an IRE world. If the map is to be shrunk, it will be trimmed. If the map is made larger, the empty areas will be filled with grass (tile 0). Objects and rooftiles are also handled correctly (lightmaps SHOULD be, but no guarantees).
To begin, it may be good to start by editing an existing game module like The flat.
OPTIONS
ire-ed accepts the following options.
- -game [path]
- Specify the path that contains a game project.
- -L
- Show licence and version of program.
- -?
- Show other options, mostly usefull for debug purposes.
Without option, ire-ed will open a search file window in which you will have to select the gamedata.ini file included in the game project directory.
CONFIGURATION FILE
The configuration file editor.ini can be found in /home/[user's name]/.ire.
