man mkvcdfs (Commandes) - Create VCD filesystem images

NAME

mkvcdfs - Create VCD filesystem images

SYNOPSIS

mkvcdfs mpg-file [mpg-file] [...]

DESCRIPTION

This manual page documents briefly the mkvcdfs command.

This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page.

mkvcdfs is a program that creates video CD images that can be written to CD-ROMs using the cdrdao package. Video CDs are a way of laying out MPEG data on CD, and can be played by a large proportion of standalone DVD players, as well as most MPEG-playing software.

OPTIONS

The only argument the program accepts a list of the MPG files to convert to a VCD filesystem image. It outputs the files vcd_image.bin which contains the VCD image, and vcd.toc which contains the TOC. The latter can be used as an argument to cdrdao to write the VCD to a CD-ROM.
