man okle (Commandes) - A DVD Player for KDE

NAME

oKle - A DVD Player for KDE

SYNOPSIS

okle

DESCRIPTION

oKle is a DVD player for the K Desktop Environment. As a front-end for the Ogle DVD player, it provides all the features of Ogle and ogle-gui, though adding several extra handy options, while retaining a compact and intuitive GUI. Full-screen mode is supported for dedicated viewing.

USAGE

okle is only a shell script that tells ogle to use okle_gui as its graphical front-end. okle_gui is the actual executable of the oKle DVD player. It should not be executed directly, but is normally setup by the script okle. Note that options provided to okle are passed to its ultimate backend, ogle, not okle_gui.

CONFIGURATION

To play a DVD, oKle must know the correct device node at which to find your DVD drive. By default, oKle will try /dev/dvd, but this can be configured by going to Preferences in the File menu. Thus, while it is common to create a symlink (if it doesn't already exist) from the real device to /dev/dvd, oKle does not require this.

Users of IDE drives, particularly running 2.4 series kernels, may be accessing their drive through SCSI emulation, in which case the device name will not resemble the usual /dev/hdX, where X is often a, b, c, or d, but rather resemble /dev/scd0 or /dev/scd1.

KEYBINDINGS

A few of the most useful default bindings are:

Ctrl-O Open Disc Alt-P Open Preferences Dialog F Toggle Fullscreen

Space Toggle Pause . Fast , Slow

> Next Chapter < Previous Chapter R Root menu

FILES

/usr/bin/okle - shell script that sets up ogle to use okle_gui.

/usr/lib/ogle/okle_gui - actual executable that provides a KDE front-end to ogle.
