NAME
tv_grab_jp - Grab TV listings for Japan.
SYNOPSIS
tv_grab_jp --help
tv_grab_jp [--config-file FILE] --configure [--gui OPTION]
tv_grab_jp [--config-file FILE] [--output FILE] [--days N] [--offset N] [--enable-readstr] [--no-category-code] [--quiet]
tv_grab_jp --list-channels
DESCRIPTION
Output TV listings for several channels available in Japan. The grabber relies on parsing HTML so it might stop working at any time.
First run tv_grab_jp --configure to choose, which channels you want to download. Then running tv_grab_jp with no arguments will output listings in XML format to standard output.
tv_grab_jp always grab 7 days of listings.
--configure Prompt for which channels, and write the configuration file.
--config-file FILE Set the name of the configuration file, the default is ~/.xmltv/tv_grab_jp.conf. This is the file written by --configure and read when grabbing.
--gui OPTION Use this option to enable a graphical interface to be used. OPTION may be 'Tk', or left blank for the best available choice. Additional allowed values of OPTION are 'Term' for normal terminal output (default) and 'TermNoProgressBar' to disable the use of Term::ProgressBar.
--output FILE write to FILE rather than standard output.
--days N grab N days. The default and the maximum is 7.
--offset N start N days in the future. The default is to start from today.
--enable-readstr add Hiragana(read strings) for program title.
--no-category-code suppress category code. English translated category names will be added to the listings without this option.
--quiet suppress the progress messages normally written to standard error.
--list-channels write output giving <channel> elements for every channel available, but no programmes.
--help print a help message and exit.
DEBIAN-SPECIFIC BEHAVIOR
The Debian XMLTV packages always install this grabber. However, because the grabber's dependency on libtext-kakasi-perl drags along the really large kakasi-dic package, the libtext-kakasi-perl package is only Recommended. If you have chosen not to install all of the Recommended packages, then you may receive an error message when running this grabber, something like: This grabber requires the Recommended package libtext-kakasi-perl. If you see this message, then you need to install the libtext-kakasi-perl package by hand.
