man runacovea (Commandes) - analysis of compiler options via evolutionary algorithms

NAME

runacovea - analysis of compiler options via evolutionary algorithms

SYNOPSIS

runacovea [options]

DESCRIPTION

The runacovea command runs ACOVEA (Analysis of Compiler Options via Evolutionary Algorithm) implements a genetic algorithm to find the "best" options for compiling programs with the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) C and C++ compilers. "Best," in this context, is defined as those options that produce the fastest executable program from a given source code.

Acovea is a C++ framework that can be extended to test other programming languages and non-GCC compilers.

This manual page was written for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution because the original program does not have a manual page. Instead, it has documentation in HTML format; see the files in /usr/share/doc/acovea/html.

OPTIONS

Program options are documented in the HTML pages.

SEE ALSO

The programs are documented fully by The Rise and Fall of a Fooish Bar, available via the Info system.
