SYNOPSIS
scripts4ticker This manual page documents briefly the scripts4ticker scripts. This manual page was written for the Debian distribution because the original program does not have a manual page. Instead, it has documentation in the GNU Info format; see below.
scripts4ticker are scripts for downloading headlines for the ticker.app dockapp.
OPTIONS
There are no command line options available.
SETUP
To enable the scripts, simply put the following in the crontab of the user who wants to run ticker.app:
0 * * * * /usr/bin/freshmeat.sh > /dev/null 2>&1
Then run ticker.app like this:
ticker.app -f ~/.freshmeat
