NAME

system-health - monitor and report a system's health

SYNOPSIS

system-health [options ]

DESCRIPTION

system-health will monitor and report on the health of a system. It is intended to be executed out of a cron job. If the -f option is specified, a complete, verbose report will be generated. Otherwise, a report will only be generated if problems are detected. The output may be directed to system logging facility to into an email message (if executed from cron, the output will automatically be placed into an email message by cron).

COMMANDS

-f
Generate full health report (not just problems).
-h
Display help summary.
-l[=facility]
Send output to syslog (local4 used if facility unspecified).
-m[=user]
Send output to 'user' via email (root if unspecified).
-r
Report RAID health (via mdstat).
-s
Report system sensors health (via lm-sensors).
-v
Enable verbose output.
