NAME

xtranslate looks up for words given by teh X-selection in a dictionary

SYNOPSIS

xtranslate -[ilnvh]

DESCRIPTION

xtranslates takes the X-selection via xprtsel and gives it to translate and displays the results (if there are any) with xmessage. translate is a shell-script wich looks up for words in a dictionary and translates them It can handle multiple dictionaries and charsets.

If you do not give any options it will use the options given in the configurationfile of translate. (For more info see translate.1)

xtranslate will create a menuentry in your debian-menu wich will not use any options.

OPTIONS

-n
non-interactive (don't prompt if no matches found)
-i
invers lookup (from second to first language)
-l
languages to translate between
-v
display version and exit
-h
display help

EXAMPLE

xtranslate -l ger-eng
